Haiti Needs Your Help!


Other FIU students have organized a campus-wide drive for supplies to send, and we would greatly appreciate your help in filling the boxes that you see around the University Park Campus. There will be other boxes at BBC very shortly, as soon as we can find a group willing to monitor them. If you or your organization can help us at BBC with the drives, please contact Justin Vizaro, Alexandra Marzouka, or visit the Honors College in DM233 and leave a message with Dean Espinosa for information.

Here is a list of the items that are needed the most in Haiti:

  • Pain Relievers
  • Fever Reducers
  • Gauze
  • Bandages
  • Ace Wraps
  • Masks
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Backpacks*
  • Canned food
  • Blankets*
  • Sleeping Bags*
  • Tents*
  • Flashlights*
  • Batteries
  • Candles
  • Matches

*Though preferable, these items do not have to be new.
